    Luverne hosted the 2024 Minnesota State High School League Section 3A track and field championships Thursday, May 30.     LHS senior Owen Sudenga qualified for the 2024 MSHL boys’ individual state golf tournament Wednesday, May 29.     The Luverne High School softball players ended their postseason run, falling twice in section play Tuesday, May 28, in Marshall. The Cardinals fell to Dassel-Cokato 6-2 in the semifinals and lost 3-0 to Jackson in the elimination round later that night. LHS finished the season with an 18-7 record.     The Cardinals ended their postseason baseball run this week, falling to Montevideo 1-0 Saturday, June 1, and 4-3 to Fairmont Monday, June 3, in Marshall.     Luverne native Carly Olson was named to the 2024 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) All-Conference team.
