The Luverne volleyball team split two matches this past week

The Cardinals beat St. James 3-2 on the road Tuesday, Sept. 16, and they fell 3-1 to Worthington at home Thursday, Sept. 18.

Luverne is now 7-9 for the season.

Cardinals cross country team flourishes in two big road meets

The Luverne cross country team went on the road for two meets this past week.

LHS participated in the Jackson County Central Tri for Health Thursday, Sept. 18, and headed to the Roy Griak Invitational at the University of Minnesota Les Bolstad Golf Course Saturday, Sept. 20.

Lady Pates drop two matches to solid opponents

The Patriots volleyball team dropped two matches to very solid squads this past week.

H-BC fell 3-0 to Murray Country Central at home Tuesday, Sept. 16, and lost 3-0 to Russell-Tyler-Ruthton on the road Thursday, Sept. 18.

The Patriots are now 5-6 for the season.

The Luverne girls’ tennis team traveled to Blue Earth Monday, Sept. 22, falling 7-0 to the Buccaneers.

The Cardinals put up a fight in the singles matches keeping the games relatively close.
