Gladys A. Walker, 90, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, passed away peacefully Sept. 16, 2025.

Lois A. Meyer Ahrendt, 95, beloved mother, wife and grandmother, passed peacefully with her children at her side in The Villages, Florida, Aug. 23, 2025.

In my last column we considered Hebrews 12:1-2, we zoomed in on Hebrews 12:1a, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses.”

The Luverne Cardinals edged out the Le Sueur-Henderson Giants Friday, Sept. 19, in a 6-0 victory at home in a defensive showdown between the teams.

LHS junior Darius Dolo scored the only points in the game on an 81-yard catch and run pass from senior Josh Hansen in the second quarter.

The Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots football team outscored Westbrook-Walnut Grove 62-8 Friday, Sept. 19, at home in their homecoming game.

“It was good to be back home and get a win on homecoming,” H-BC head coach Rex Metzger said.
