Matthew “Matt” Neil Haraldson was born on May 14, 1993, to Dean Haraldson and Patti (Weatherly) Haraldson in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He was baptized on June 25, 1993, at Rose Dell Lutheran Church in Jasper, Minnesota, and grew up on the family farm near Jasper.

Cardinals roll over Eagles 49-14

The Cardinals rolled over Windom 49-14 on the road Friday, Sept. 12, to capture their third win of the season.

Luverne started the game kicking off to Windom, and the Eagles marched down the field to score the first points of the game.

Patriots upend Coyotes 50-15 in Fulda

The Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots football team captured their third win of the season, beating Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda 50-15 on the road Friday, Sept. 12.

“I thought we put together a big first half,” H-BC head coach Rex Metzger said.

LHS tennis team falls 7-0 to St. James at home

The Luverne girls’ tennis team fell 7-0 to a solid and experienced St. James team at home Thursday, Sept. 11.

The Saints came into the match with a 16-0 record, and Luverne had a record of 6-4 before the loss to St. James.

Luverne cross country excels at Mayo Invitational

The Luverne cross country team traveled to Rochester to participate in the Mayo Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 11.

Luverne and 24 other schools took part in the large and competitive meet in which LHS was among the smallest schools running in the event.

LHS volleyball falls four times in five road games

The Luverne volleyball team lost four matches and won one this past week on the road.

LHS fell to Redwood Valley Tuesday, Sept. 9, losing three games to one.
