In Week 4 of the LHS trap team season, seven shooters finished with scores in the 40s and eight members scored in the 30s.
Piper Wynia was the high score shooter, hitting 48 targets out of 50 possible.
There was also one non-league participant, Carter Johnson, who shot a perfect 25 this week.

The H-BC Patriots football team snatched a 20-8 victory over conference rivals, the Mountain Lake Area Wolverines, Friday, Oct. 11, at home.

The Cardinals were handed their first loss of the season Thursday, Oct. 10, by a tough Jackson County Central team.
Both teams were 6-0 coming into the Big South Conference matchup in Luverne.
The Huskies’ size and speed were definite factors in a Huskies 38-0 win over the Cardinals, the Huskies’ smallest margin of victory so far this season.

The Luverne Cardinals girls’ tennis team sent six girls to the Section 3A Individual Championship at the Huether Family Match Point complex in Sioux Falls Thursday, Oct. 10.
Each team was allowed two singles and two doubles to participate in the tournament.

The Luverne cross country team participated in the Adrian/Ellsworth Dragons Invitational Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Adrian Country Club.

The Lady Pates volleyball team fell to three tough competitors on the court this week.
Southwest Minnesota Christian beat the Patriots 3-0 Tuesday, Oct. 8, on the road.
Edgerton Public won a close 3-2 match in Hills Friday, Oct. 11, and H-BC hosted Westbrook Walnut Grove Monday, Oct. 14, falling 3-0.

The Luverne volleyball team dropped two games to solid rivals this past week.
Redwood Valley beat Luverne 3-0 on the road Tuesday, Oct. 8, and Adrian/Ellsworth won 3-1 in Luverne Friday, Oct. 11.
