Cardinals girls' basketball team collect two wins, fall once

The Luverne girls’ basketball team collected two wins and fell once in conference play this past week.

LHS beat Jackson County Central 74-71 at home Tuesday, Dec. 9, and topped Blue Earth 74-64 on the road Friday, Dec. 12.

Luverne girls hockey team goes 2-1 on home ice

The Luverne girls’ hockey team won two games and fell once at home this past week.

The Cardinals lost 2-1 to Fairmont Tuesday, Dec. 9, beat Willmar 4-1 Friday, Dec. 12, and took down South Central 13-0 Saturday, Dec. 13.

Luverne gymnasts capture third place in Marshall meet

Luverne captured third place in team competition Saturday, Dec. 13, in the Marshall meet.

Jackson County Central placed first in the team competition with a team score of 127.275.

I received a call last week from a property owner whose rural residence is located near a public land parcel. The parcel in this example was a signed Wildlife Management Area (WMA). He had questions about what rules were in place regarding gun discharge within 500 feet of his homestead.
