    The Luverne Junior Legion baseball team picked up two more wins last week. Luverne earned a 6-3 win in Minneota Thursday before defeating Worthington 7-2 at home Monday night.     The Cardinals are back-to-back Class 3A team section champions after defending their titles Thursday in Pipestone. The girls scored 118.92 points, and second-place Redwood Valley had 62.     The Hills-Beaver Creek girls’ 4-by-100-meter relay ran the top time in the Section 3A track meet on Thursday afternoon in Pipestone.     The Cardinals played in the Section 3AA championship Thursday, June 2, against the Pipestone Area Arrows, who ended Luverne’s season in four innings, 15-0. LHS was unable to score any runs.     The Luverne Redbirds amateur baseball team upped its season record to 6-1 with a 15-0 victory in seven innings over the Worthington Cubs in Worthington on Wednesday, June 1.     Patriot golfers competed in the Section 3A golf meet Wednesday and Friday mornings in Worthington. Senior Tess Van Maanen finished tied for third place with a score of 197.
