The area being considered is a 40-acre parcel on the east side of Blue Mound Avenue, roughly north of Veterans Drive and south of a line from Al Christensen’s farm driveway.
The school building is proposed to run north and south, on the west side of the land.

Rock county, which twice has voted for Roosevelt as its favorite, Tuesday indicated its disapproval of his administration by voting three to two for Willkie. The final tabulation gave Willkie 2,944 votes and Roosevelt 1,983.

•Efforts to adjust the differences between some of the owners of property to be affected by the proposed extension of Estey street and others interested have failed, and the city will now proceed to condemn the property necessary for said extension, according to the latest decision of the common council. ...
The proposed extension is to be from Dodge street north to Adams avenue, a distance of approximately 1090 feet. Of the property affected, only that fronting on Dodge street will be materially damaged, as the opening of the street for the distance stated will considerably enhance the value of nearly all other property fronting along the proposed extension.
