The Luverne cross country team hosted an eight team meet Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Luverne High School course west of the school.

The LHS girls’ 5,000-meter varsity team finished in first place beating out four other teams in warm weather conditions.

Junior Lucas Madison was the high shooter, hitting 24 and 23 targets out of 25, for a 47-target total.

Five athletes finished in the 40s, five finished in the 30s and one shot at 19.
