I suppose you might call it faith if you believe in the sun, even on a cloudy day. We probably all have that kind of faith.

The Luverne Redbirds beat Worthington 8-1 on the road Wednesday, June 12, got by Windom 4-1 on the road Friday, June 14, and blanked Pipestone 12-0 at home on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16, to improve their season record to 9-1.
Luverne’s Owen Sudenga finished the 2024 MSHSL Class AA boys’ individual state golf tournament in 26th place Wednesday, June 12.
The tournament was played at Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan.
Luverne Jr. Legion beat Tracy 18-10 on the road Tuesday, June 11.
In the high-scoring game, Luverne collected 22 hits and Tracy tallied 11 over seven innings.
Carter Como led with six RBIs, four hits and scored three runs.
The Luverne Baseball Association had a short presentation Tuesday, June 11, for improvements made to the Joe Roberts Field this past spring.
The Luverne Sr. Legion baseball team beat Heron Lake-Okabena 9-2 Thursday, June 13, on the road.

Luverne’s game against Minneota at home Monday, June 17, was canceled due to rain.
On Wednesday, June 12, Brady Bork got his first hole-in-one at the Luverne Country Club on hole No. 3.
Bork used a seven iron from 170 yards to the hole for the ace.
