The Redbirds finished their regular season going 1-1 in exhibition play at home.

The Redbirds fell 14-0 to Sioux City on July 24 and beat Milroy 11-1 on July 26 at Redbird Field.

Luverne accumulated a 12-7 season record and went 9-4 in Region 10c action.

Luverne was knocked out of the Junior Legion Division II Southwest Sub-State Tournament falling 6-4 to Slayton Tuesday, July 21, in Ruthton.

Slayton handed Luverne their second loss in the tournament closing their playoff baseball run.

The Luverne Senior Legion Baseball team finished its 2026 playoff run falling 7-4 to St. James Friday, July 24, in St. James.

St. James took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning and extended its lead to 5-2 after two innings.

Congress recently voted to overturn a 20-year ban on mining in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in northern Minnesota that was initiated by the Joe Biden administration.
