A 32-year-old Luverne woman is in the Nobles County Jail after law enforcement recovered stolen items in her apartment Thursday, Jan. 12.

Goldn’ Plump has been purchased by Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation, headquartered in Greeley, Colorado.
According to an announcement Tuesday, Pilgrim’s Pride intends to pay $350 million in cash for GNP Co., which produces Gold'n Plump and Just Bare chicken, based in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

A turned over semi-tractor trailer Tuesday night caused a fiery crash and blocked the west-bound lanes of Interstate 90 east of Luverne into the wee hours Wednesday morning.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the westbound semi driver, Ricardo Gaytan Soto, Worthington, told officials he swerved to miss a deer and lost control and overturned the rig.

Crews work on the Highway 75 crossing Tuesday morning for Minnesota Southern Railway. The highway is closed at the crossig and traffic is detoured a few blocks east until the work is done. Construction began in northeastern Rock County on a $10 million project to bring water from the Lewis and Clark water pipeline to the Lincoln Pipestone Rural Water pump station in Edgerton.
