The Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots tamed the GHECT Mustangs corralling them 58-0 in Hills Friday, Oct. 2.

Grenada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman had to punt four times, had two possession turnovers, were picked off twice and lost one fumble to the Patriots.

The Luverne High School tennis team closed the fall regular season by falling 6-1 to Marshall Thursday, Oct. 1, at home.

Four LHS seniors were honored before the match for their participation in the tennis program throughout the years.

The Adrian-Ellsworth Dragons dominated the Mountain Lake Area Wolverines Friday, Oct. 2, capturing a decisive 68-0 win on the road.

The Dragons pushed back the Wolverines to negative 76 yards of total offense in the game.

Joey Lenz recorded a perfect 25 targets in his second round of fall trap shooting this past week.

In Week 2 competition shooting, Lenz is the fourth Luverne shooter to attain this honor so far this season.

This was his first perfect 25 on the team.

Luverne sophomore Griffin Sailor sank a hole-in-one at the Luverne Country Club Sunday, Oct. 4.

“My shot felt good and landed a little short of the green and rolled on,” Sailor said.

The Adrian-Ellsworth cross country team participated in two invitationals this past week setting several personal and season best times at both events.

The Dragons ran at the Lennox Invitational Friday, Oct. 2, and the Murray County Central/Fulda Warrior Invite Monday, Oct. 5.

The Luverne Cardinal cross country team participated in the Redwood Valley Invitational Thursday, Oct. 1, collecting six Top 10 placers, with six season-best and 14 personal-best finishers.

The LHS boys’ varsity team placed sixth out of 10 teams with 147 points.

The Adrian-Ellsworth volleyball team took down the Red Rock Central Falcons 3-0 Tuesday, Sept. 29, in the Ellsworth High School gym.

The Dragons won the first set and second sets 25-13 each and won the third set 25-8 for the win.

The Luverne High School volleyball team took on the Big South Conference leader Jackson County Central falling 3-0 to the Huskies Tuesday, Sept. 29, on the road.

JCC came into the game with three conference wins and a 12-5 season record.
