    The Luverne girls’ wrestling team qualified two female wrestlers for state competition Friday, Feb. 9, in Redwood Falls.     The Luverne boys’ hockey team extended its season record to 21-2 this past week with three more wins. On Friday, Feb. 9, the Cardinals traveled to Le Sueur and topped Minnesota River 6-1.     The Cardinals and Patriots met in Hills Monday, Feb. 5, with Luverne taking the game 63-59. It was a back-and-forth physical game that came down to the last few minutes of play to decide the winner. In the end, Luverne was able to hit a couple free throws to put the game out of reach for H-BC. Game stats were not available for this week’s  Star-Herald printing on Tuesday.
