The H-BC Patriots secured their third team win of the season against Cedar Mountain at home Friday, Sept. 15, with a 40-6 victory.

The Luverne Cardinals football team hosted Sibley East Friday, Sept. 15, beating the Wolverines 35-0.
“It was nice to get a solid win and shutout at home,” said head coach Todd Oye.
“We have played well at times this year, but this was the first game we played well from start to finish.”
Luverne, now 2-1 for the season, will travel to Minnesota Valley Lutheran Friday, Sept. 22.

H-BC got its second win of the season Friday, Sept. 8, beating Lanesboro 22-14 on the road.
In the first quarter, H-BC started the scoring on a 3-yard keeper by sophomore quarterback Jamin Metzger for a touchdown.
On the two-point conversion, sophomore Micah Bush caught a 3-yard pass from Metzger for an 8-0 lead.

The Luverne football team traveled to Jordan losing 49-7 to the Hubmen Friday, Sept. 9.
“Jordan is a very good team that moved down from 4A to 3A this year,” head coach Todd Oye said.
“With that being said, we need to play well against the big schools in our class to be competitive, and we did not do that.”
Jordan scored two passing touchdowns in the first quarter to put the score at 14-0.

The Patriots hosted Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda Thursday, Aug. 31, in nine-man football competition.
The Patriots beat the Coyotes 51-6 in the opening season game.
The Patriots did not waste any time scoring, taking their first drive into the end zone with a nine-yard pass from sophomore Jamin Metzger to junior Jackson Gacke.
