Big South announces all-conference teams

The Big South Conference announced its fall sports all-conference teams for cross country and tennis on Monday, Oct. 26. The Luverne Cardinals were well represented in both sports.
For cross country the girls had seven players earn all-conference. Tenley Nelson, Jenna DeBates, Grace Ingebretson, Brooklynn Ver Steeg, Regan Feit, Elizabeth Wagner and Kayla Bloemendaal all earned all-conference honors.
The girls’ cross country team was invited to compete in a two-day showcase in Atwater this weekend. The two-day showcase is an opportunity for the top teams and individuals across the state of Minnesota to compete in one final meet.
Camden Janiszeski earned all-conference on the boys’ side. Janiszeski will also be competing in the two-day showcase in Atwarter this weekend.
The tennis team had five members earn all-conference honors. Elise Jarchow, Roz Oye, Ainslie Robinson, Liz Kelm and Olivia Wieneke all earned recognition for their efforts this season.
