The Hills-Beaver Creek boys’ and girls’ track and field teams took top honors at the Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Panther II meet Tuesday, April 21.

The H-BC boys’ team finished in first place with a team score of 137 and the girls’ team placed first with a team score of 106.

The Cardinals lost 7-0 to Worthington on the road Friday, April 24, giving up three matches by forfeits.

The Luverne High School softball team lost two games in a double-header to Jackson Thursday, April 23, on the road.

Non-productive batting and errors hurt the Cardinals in Jackson where LHS fell 6-4 in the first game and lost 9-1 in the second game to the Huskies.

The Luverne High School trap shooting team recorded its first week of competition scores at the Luverne Sportsmen’s Club Monday, April 20.

“We’ve been dealing with some very cold and windy weather,” team assistant Julie Wynia said.

Luverne golf team hosted Worthington Thursday, April 23, in nine-hole stroke play.

The LHS boys’ team beat Worthington 175-188 and the Worthington girls’ team beat Luverne 190-211.
