Luverne volleyball team picks up two wins, falls to Edgerton in close match

The Cardinals volleyball team pulled out two wins and one loss this past week.

Luverne beat Worthington 3-2 at home Tuesday, Sept. 26, and won against the Saints at St. James 3-0 Thursday, Sept. 28.

The Cardinals fell to Edgerton Public 3-0 Monday, Oct. 2, at home.

Patriots beat Renville County West 45-14

H-BC handed the Renville County West Jaguars a 45-14 loss at home Friday, Sept. 29.

The Patriots remain unbeaten, 5-0, as they go on the road to take on Edgerton Friday, Oct. 6.

Cardinals football team tips Blue Earth 30-7

The Luverne Cardinals football team traveled to Blue Earth Friday, Sept. 29.

The Cardinals handed the Buccaneers a 30-7 loss and are now 4-1 on the season going into next week’s homecoming game against Pipestone.

Lady Pates volleyball team gives up two matches to solid squads

The H-BC girls’ volleyball team gave up two matches this past week.

The Patriots lost to Murray County Central 3-0 Tuesday, Sept. 26, at home and fell to Russell Tyler Ruthton 3-0 on the road Thursday, Sept. 28.

LHS cross country runners find success in Willmar and St. James invitationals

The Luverne Cardinals boys’ and girls’ cross country teams traveled to St. James Tuesday, Sept. 26.

The girls’ varsity 5,000-meter team took fourth place, and the girls’ junior varsity 1,600-meter team finished in first place.
