City Planning Commission public hearing set for Nov. 6

The Luverne football team hosted Redwood Valley Wednesday. Oct. 18, beating the rival Cardinals 33-21 in the final game of the regular season.
“It was a big win for us to get a home field playoff game,” head coach Todd Oye said.
The H-BC football team hosted New Ulm Cathedral for the Patriots’ final regular season game Wednesday. Oct. 18.
The Patriots beat the Greyhounds 40-18 to cap off a perfect 8-0 regular season record.
Luverne boys’ and girls’ varsity cross country teams placed second at the Big South Conference meet Tuesday, Oct. 17, at the Marshall Golf Club.
The Luverne girls’ junior varsity team took third place in their event.

The Luverne volleyball team traveled to Hills Tuesday, Oct. 17, beating the Patriots 3-0.
LHS won the first set 25-10, took the second set 25-9 and the final set 25-11.
The Cardinals-Patriots matchup was the final regular season game for both teams.
Luverne’s David Duffy hosted an “ultra” trail running event Saturday, Oct. 14, that challenged athletes to complete 100 miles in one day.
The event, Duff Dog Backyard Ultra in the Blue Mounds State Park, attracted 12 hardy competitors.
The Hills-Beaver Creek volleyball team hosted Luverne Tuesday, Oct. 17, falling 3-0 to the Cardinals.
LHS won 25-10, 25-9 and 25-11.
John Hemme (in combine) and Jarnet Johansen return to the 2023 corn harvest Monday afternoon west of Hardwick after scattered rain showers dampened the area over a four-day period.
