    Two longtime Clinton Township officials were recently recognized for their years of service on the township board. Henry Zwaan (pictured at left with board chairman Kurt Elbers) was honored for 40 years of leadership, and Steve Top (pictured at right with Elbers) was honored for 20 years on the Clinton Township Board.     The Hills-Beaver Creek School Board signed a purchase agreement to buy almost 15 acres as the site for a new elementary school in Beaver Creek.     Rock County will collect nearly $1 million in wind energy production taxes in 2023. The amount due is from the four wind farms currently operating in the county for taxes payable by April 1.     Local grain producers reported corn and soybean yields from the 2022 production year at just above the state average, a year after record-setting yields locally in 2021. Rock County farmers averaged a corn yield of 196.8 bushels per acre in 2022 from 129,400 harvested acres.
