Irving Kvien

Irving Kvien, 91, Sioux Falls, S.D., died Friday, July 15, 2005, at Bethany Lutheran Home in Sioux Falls. Irving Kvien was born on September 6, 1913, in Fosston. He grew up and attended school in Hills and later graduated from Augustana College, Sioux Falls, in 1937. He attended medical school at the University of South Dakota and the University of Minnesota. He married Irene Viste on May 25, 1943, in Sioux Falls, S.D. at First Lutheran Church where he is a member today. He worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative for the E.R. Squibb Company and later was a realtor. He was a member of Unity Lodge, Scottish Rite, and El Riad Shrine. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.He is survived by his wife, Irene; his daughters, Susan Williams, Tonka Bay, Sheri Rodgers, Estes Park, Colo.; his sons, Steven (Rexene) Kvien, Arvada, Colo., and David (Loleta) Kvien, Sioux Falls.
