Daniel R. Meyer, age 61, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, formerly of Luverne, Minnesota, died Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at his home.

The Luverne softball and baseball bats heated up this past week sending eleven balls over the fence. The softball girls had eight homers and the boys baseball team had three.

Luverne hosted the Section 3A True Team Track and Field Tournament Tuesday, May 7.

Thirteen teams participated in the tournament to determine a champion in the boys’ and girls’ teams to move on to the State True Team tournament in Stillwater Saturday, May 18.

The Luverne High School softball team notched three wins and one loss in two doubleheaders over the past week.

The Cardinals split games with Windom Tuesday, May 7, on the road, falling 2-1 in the first game and winning 15-6 in the second.
