Luverne softball upsets Arrows 7-6 for No. 1 seed in sections

The Luverne High School softball team picked up two conference wins, beating Worthington 6-4 on the road Tuesday, May 14, and Pipestone 7-6 at home Thursday, May 16.

In the Big South Conference Championship in New Ulm, the Cardinals fell 10-4 to the Tigers Saturday, May 18.

LHS and H-BC track and field teams finish strong at Trojan Relays

Luverne and Hills-Beaver Creek participated in the Trojan Relays Tuesday, May 14, in Worthington.

The Luverne boys’ team finished in fifth place and the girls’ team placed fourth in Class AA action.

Redbirds beat Yankees, fall to Irish

The Redbirds went 1-1 on the road this past week, beating the Milroy Yankees 4-1 Friday, May 17, and falling 16-13 to the Milroy Irish Sunday, May 19.

Cardinals win three, fall to Marshall in Big South Championship baseball

The Luverne High School baseball team picked up three wins and one loss over the past week to close the regular season of play with a record of 16-5.
