Hills-Beaver Creek Dist. 671Minutes8-25-03The Hills-Beaver Creek School Board met at 6:30 pm at the elementary school in Beaver Creek for a walk through of the building and then met in the library in Hills at 7:30 pm for its regular semi-monthly meeting. Members present were DeBoer, Larson, Esselink, Baker, Leuthold, Boeve, and Harnack. Superintendent Deragisch was also in attendance. The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Esselink.Visitors to the meeting were Todd Holthaus, elementary principal, and Jolene Farley of The Crescent. Patriot Pride: Former H-BC student Jim Bush was featured in The Star Tribune. Thank you to the custodians for a job well done with the buildingsThe minutes of the last meeting stand approved as sent. Motion by DeBoer, second by Larson, and carried to hire Mary Siegfried for a long-term sub for the fifth grade.Motion by Leuthold, second by Larson, and carried to hire John Oksness for high school science for a maternity leave. Motion by Larson, second by DeBoer, and carried to approve the 2003-2004 extracurricular assignments.Superintendent Deragisch gave updates on the construction project, No Child Left Behind Report Card, and a summary from the summer MSBA convention.
