Volunteers needed for ‘Minnesota Responds’
Minnesota Responds is a partnership of local and statewide volunteers to assist healthcare systems in emergencies that can overwhelm hospitals and clinics and improve overall response capabilities.
Minnesota Responds is recruiting medical (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) and others with medical type backgrounds, such as veterinary, dental, chiropractor and others. “Non-medical” volunteers are also needed to contribute skills and expertise during the COVID-19 crisis. We are looking for individuals that are working or retired and willing to offer assistance. An individual DOES NOT HAVE to be in the health care field. Anyone interested in helping the community is encouraged.
To to register, have your personal information, licenses, certifications, competencies, and contact information available.
Contact the Minnesota Responds Volunteer Coordinator, Jen Nelson, at Southwest Health & Human Services at 507-829-0227. Help others struggling with coronavirus challenges
In response to residents and organizations overwhelmed by challenges related to the coronavirus, the Luverne Area Chamber is lining up volunteers to shop and/or deliver for those individuals who are unable to leave their homes.
The intent is to coordinate this as a service to residents supporting our local businesses. A protocol will minimize contact between volunteers and people requesting services. To join the list of volunteers, call the Chamber at (507)-283-4061.
