Luverne’s Jeremy Smith took the checkered flag in the A Modifieds class at Murray County Speedway in Slayton Friday.
Rock County drivers also competed at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa, Friday night.
Rapid Speedway
Eric Gaul and Colton Arends, both of Luverne, led local drivers at Rapid Speedway when they both placed second Friday.
Gaul placed fourth in the Hobby Stocks Heat 2 race before coming in second in the A feature race.
Cory Kelderman of Hills placed ninth in the A feature of Hobby Stocks.
Arends competed in the Stock Cars class. He won his heat race before placing second in the feature race.
Scott Overgaard of Luverne finished right behind Arends in the same race, placing third.
Murray County Speedway
Jeremy Smith won his second A Modified feature race of the year at Slayton Friday night.
Smith led a field of 10 racers in the feature race after finishing first in his heat race.
