Luverne’s Rock sisters qualify for girls’ state wrestling tournament

Luverne girls’ wrestling placed two competitors at the section tournament in Hastings Saturday, Feb. 11, to qualify for state competition.
Freshman Bernie Rock took first place in the 120-pound weight class.
Her sister, eighth-grader CeCe Rock, placed second in the 152-pound weight class.
Both will compete in the 2023 Girls’ Wrestling State Tournament at the Xcel Energy Center Saturday, March 4.
Two other LHS girls competed in the sectionals but were not able to move on.
Junior Zakada Bradley took third place in the 106-pound weight class and sophomore Andi Luitjens 
placed fifth in the 152-pound weight class.
