NOTICE OF ELECTION FILING PERIOD
FOR CITY OFFICES
IN THE NOVEMBER 2024 GENERAL ELECTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Candidate Filing Period opens
July 14, 2026, and closes at 5 p.m. July 28, 2026
The following City Offices will be up for election in the
November 2026 General Election:
Mayor 2-Year Term
Council 4-Year Term
Council 4-Year Term
Candidates for an elected city office must:
•be eligible to vote in Minnesota
•be at least 21 years old upon assuming office
•have maintained residence in their district for at least 30 days before the
general election
•have not filed for another office at the upcoming primary or general election
(unless authorized by Minn. Stat. 103C.315, subd. 6)
Affidavits of Candidacy are available in the Hardwick City Hall lobby or can be emailed upon request by contacting the Hardwick City Clerk at cityofhardwick@alliancecom.net.
•Affidavits can be returned in person to the City Hall Tuesdays and Thursdays
from 3:30 to 5 p.m. July 14-28, 2026, or by appointment.
•ID (showing proof of residence) must be presented at the time of filing).
•There is a $2 filing fee.
