Peggy Hewitt, age 72, of Luverne, Minn., passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Sanford Hospice Foundation Cottage in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Memorial service will be at 1:07 p.m. Monday, June 1, at the Hartquist Funeral Home in Luverne. Visitation will be from 12:03 to 1:06 p.m. on Monday, June 1, at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

Peggy Diane Hewitt, 72, was born on September 26, 1953, to Fred and Delores (Stevens) Hendricksen. Peggy graduated from Luverne High School in 1971. Peggy married David Hewitt at St. John Lutheran Church. Though the couple later divorced, they were blessed with six children.
Peggy was currently attending Celebrate Church in Sioux Falls. She enjoyed knitting stockings and scrapbooking. She also enjoyed decorating birthday cakes. She most loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Peggy is lovingly remembered by her six children; 21 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four siblings; a sister-in-law; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Delores Hendricksen, and brother, Jerry Hendricksen.
