Orrie Matthew Frahm  was born on September 8, 1986, to James and Rae (Herman) Frahm in Luverne, Minnesota. He was baptized on October 5, 1986, and received his confirmation on April 29, 2001, both at Bethany Lutheran Church in Luverne. Orrie grew up south of Kanaranzi, Minnesota, until the family moved to Magnolia, Minnesota in 1999.

Growing up, Orrie loved hanging out with family and friends. He enjoyed riding 4-wheeler with his brothers and friends, playing paintball, and checking out the finds on junk days. Orrie graduated from Luverne High School in 2005. On July 26, 2005, Orrie enlisted in the Army National Guard and began his basic training. Orrie was deployed for two tours overseas. The first tour was in 2006 when Orrie was 19. This deployment took him to Iraq for 18 months during the Operation Iraqi Freedom war.

In 2008, he returned home to Magnolia. Orrie would spend time living in Luverne, St. Cloud, and Dawson, Minnesota. His employment included working for Pipestone Systems and DeNoble CPA’s in Rock Rapids. On October 6, 2012, Orrie was united in marriage to Chessa Ossefoort at the Palace Theater in Luverne. Johnson Veterans’ Memorial Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 37 years, 9 months, and 9 days.

Orrie was known and loved by many. People knew him for his great smile, quick wit, friendliness, and strength. He was an avid movie buff, his favorites being Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.
