Marilyn Munns 

Marilyn Munns (née Meyer), age 89, of St. Michael, formerly of Luverne, passed away. 

Marilyn had a lifelong career with Northwest Bell. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, bingo, puzzles and cooking. She was known as a social butterfly who loved all people. Her family will remember her for always having a freezer full of rolled cookie dough, to be able to bake fresh cookies at a moment’s notice. 

Survived by her children, Gary Munns (Michelle), Rhonda (Dung) Nguyen, and Nancy Munns; grandchildren, Darren (Ha) Nguyen, Debbie (John) Wall, Jeremy (Harmonie) Nguyen, Megan Wilson, Lahn Nguyen, Jacob (Makayla) Vaillancourt, and Luke Vaillancourt; great grandchildren, Aubrey, Addison, Annika “Rusty”, Aria, Bo, Hunter, Vivienne, and upcoming baby Vaillancourt; sister, Dorothy Sherburne; sister-in-law, Rosie Meyer; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Ronald; parents, Ralph and Vi v ienne ; grandson, Matthew Wayne; daughter-in-law, Katie Munns; siblings, Joy Meyer, Pauline Hogue, Robert Meyer, Betty Iveland, Dick Meyer, Maxine Prahm, Dallas Meyer, and Gene Meyer. 

Interment for Marilyn and Ronald will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis. 

Please arrive by 11:15 a.m. A reception will follow the interment at Valley Community Presbyterian Church, 3100 Lilac Dr. N., Golden Valley.
