Daniel Conrad “Dan” Arp, 63, Hardwick, died Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
A graveside committal service was Monday, July 22, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Luverne.
Daniel Arp was born on Dec. 23, 1955, to Myron and Lois (Matthiesen) Arp in Luverne. He attended both elementary and high school in Edgerton. After high school he worked on a farm near Edgerton and continued to live on the home farm where his family grew up. Later on, he moved to Hardwick, where he owned the Dance Place for a couple of years. In 2017 he moved to Luverne and resided there until the current time.
Dan enjoyed farming and going to many farm sales. He also liked to garden at his home.
He is survived by his son, Brian Arp; siblings Curtis (Dee) Arp of Jasper, Michael Arp of Hardwick, Dennis (Deb) Arp of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Lori (Bob) Hellwinckel of Pipestone and David Arp of Edgerton; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dean.
