Carol Lou (Roberts) Stroh was born October 28, 1940, to J.W. “Buddy” Roberts and Elizabeth Ann (Wright) Roberts at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas, Texas.  She graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas, and worked at Dallas Title, Titche Goettinger, Republic National Life as a death claims auditor, and teletype operator at LTV Aerospace.  

On December 18, 1971, Carol married Harold Stroh at Hilltop Church of Christ in Euless, Texas. In September of 1974 they moved to Luverne, Minnesota, and purchased a farm south of town.  She was a farm wife, secretary for their construction business, and managed their two apartment buildings.  

Carol was raised in the Church of Christ and joined Grace Lutheran Church after moving to Luverne. She enjoyed the Neighborhood Club, Samba, and Couples Pinochle group.

On Tuesday, May 5, 2025, at 10:15 p.m., Carol died at the Sanford Hospice Cottage in Luverne, Minnesota, at the age of 84 years, 6 months, and 9 days. 

Carol is lovingly remembered by her husband, Harold Stroh; daughter Renalyn Willis of Bay City, Texas (a daughter she located in March of 2006 after 47 years); brother-in-law Charles (Barbara) Womack; niece Melissa (Ken) Liebowitz; nephew Blake Womack; and great-nephew Jasper Womack.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Elizabeth Roberts; her sister, Sara Womack; and her grandparents.
