This column is being written solely to generate discussion surrounding some proposed gun legislation being floated at the Minnesota State Capitol these days. I repeat, this is to create discussion and not explode the virtues one way or the other of these proposed legislations.

James A. Hamann, age 85, of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, passed away suddenly on February 18.
