The Cardinals’ and Patriots’ track teams competed in the Bob Nangle Relays Tuesday, April 30, in Pipestone and the Howard Wood Dakota Relays Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4, in Sioux Falls.

The Luverne baseball team collected three wins, beating Blue Earth 10-0 and 14-4 in a doubleheader at home Friday, May 3, and taking a 4-0 win from Pipestone at home Monday, May 6.
The Cardinals are now 9-4 for the season.

Luverne golfers played their Big South – Week 3 tournament in windy spring weather Monday, May 6.
The boys’ team placed second in Windom and the girls’ team took fourth in Pipestone.
This was the final week of the regular season Big South tournament schedule.

The Luverne High School softball team extended its season record to 11-3 with three wins over the past week.
The Cardinals beat Redwood Valley twice (12-2 and 13-3) Thursday, May 2, in Luverne and took down Edgerton Southwest Christian 11-4 Friday, May 3, in Edgerton.

The Hills-Beaver Creek trap shooting team hosted their second Annual Border Battle event at the Garretson Sportsmen’s Club Friday, May 3.

The H-BC golf teams played in the second week of the Red Rock Conference tournament Friday, May 3.
The Patriots boys’ team traveled to Mountain Lake, and Abby Olson played in Adrian.
