Luverne fell twice this past week in girls’ basketball action.

LHS lost 67-51 to Fairmont at home Tuesday, Dec. 2, and lost a one-point game to Arlington, South Dakota, 50-49 on the road Friday, Dec. 5.

The Hills-Beaver Creek girls’ basketball team started off the 2025-26 season with two big Red Rock Conference home wins.

H-BC beat Southwest Minnesota Christian 66-33 Tuesday, Dec. 3, and took down Adrian/Ellsworth 72-52 Friday, Dec. 5.

The H-BC boys’ basketball team routed Adrian/Ellsworth 78-41 at home Thursday, Dec. 4, in their opening game of the 2025-26 season.

The Patriots built up a 39-22 lead in the first half and added another 39 points in the second half against the Dragons.

Luverne and Hills-Beaver Creek football programs recently announced 15 players on the 2025 All-District team.

In Class AAA, the Cardinals have eight individuals on the team.

The Luverne girls’ hockey team fell 6-1 to Marshall Thursday, Dec. 4, on the road.
