Students in the Luverne High School Class of 2024 gathered Tuesday morning on the football field to watch the sunrise on their last first day of school.

Last week’s home build on Manfred Drive in Luverne was a high school reunion of sorts for five LHS graduates.

Rock County boasts 563 volunteers, according to the recently released A.C.E. of SW Minnesota annual report.

The Blackshire Farms Pumpkin Patch near Beaver Creek is now open for the season with nearly two acres offering 50 different pumpkins, squash and gourds, many of them heirloom varieties. The patch, owned by Sean and Marcella McFarland, is open from noon to 7 p.m.
