The Luverne girls’ hockey team finished the regular season with three big wins.

The Cardinals beat Waseca 6-0 on the road Tuesday, Jan. 30, topped Windom 9-1 at home Thursday, Feb. 1, and collared the Minnesota River Bulldogs 6-2 at home Saturday, Feb. 3.

The Luverne gymnastics team finished its regular season with three meet wins this past week.

The Luverne boys’ hockey team extended its regular season streak to 18-2 after beating Marshall 6-2 on Feb. 1 and Windom 9-2 on Feb. 5 on the road.

Luverne wrestler Matthew Gangestad, a junior, placed second in the 2024 Ninth Grade State Tournament Saturday, Feb. 3, in Champlin Park.

Gangestad and Hudson Hough qualified for the state tournament Jan. 27 at the Region 2 competition in Redwood Valley.

The Luverne boys’ basketball team played three games this past week winning two and losing one.

The H-BC boys’ basketball team won two games and lost one this past week.

The Patriots beat Russell-Tyler-Ruthton 52-41 on the road Thursday, Feb. 1, topped Heron Lake -Okabena/Fulda 65-53 Friday, Feb. 2, and fell to Luverne 63-59 Monday, Feb. 5.
