Luverne electric rates will increase in 2026 on the city’s rate schedule, but a scheduled rate increase in water and wastewater won’t occur, thanks to new commercial demand.

County to replace e911 address signs

The Rock County Highway Department will replace faded rural address signs this year, following recent funding approval by the County Board.

According to County Engineer Mark Sehr, the faded and/or missing signs have become a public safety concern.

Expenses down, revenue up for Luverne School District

In the first four months of Luverne Public Schools’ fiscal year, expenses are down and revenue is up.

From July 1 to Nov. 30, Luverne’s expenses have dropped $495,166 while revenues have increased by $388,080, according to Superintendent Craig Oftedahl.

Swimmers enjoy 'Flick and Float' at pool

Community members were invited to “Flick and Float” at Luverne Aquatics and Fitness Tuesday, Dec. 30, when they enjoyed free pool admission, a movie and a goodie bag with T-shirts and treats to take home them.
