The City of Hills does hereby ordain:

Luverne football ends season with loss to Fairmont

The Luverne football team beat Tri-City United Tuesday, Oct. 24, by a score of 6-2 at home in a Section 3AAA quarterfinal game.

Luverne then traveled to Fairmont and lost 32-0 to the rival Cardinals Saturday, Oct. 28.

Cardinals tennis team falls to Rochester and Crookston in state competition

The Luverne girls’ tennis team participated in the 2023 Class A Team State Tournament Tuesday, Oct. 24, in the Reed-Sweatt Family Tennis Center in Minneapolis.

No. 8 Luverne took on No. 1 Rochester in the morning quarterfinal session, losing 0-7 to the Lourdes.

Patriots headed to section championship against Edgerton Nov. 3

The Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots football team blanked the Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons Knights 28-0 Saturday, Oct. 28, at home in Section 3 9-player action.

Against the Knights, H-BC kicked off to start the game.

ACG went four and out, punting back to the Patriots.

LHS volleyball team headed to section quarterfinals against Redwood Valley Oct. 31

The Luverne volleyball team beat Fairmont 3-1 at home Friday, Oct. 27, in the first round of the Section 3AA Volleyball Tournament.

LHS gave up the first set 25-20 to Fairmont.

LHS cross country team qualifies four runners for state tournament Nov. 4

The Luverne cross country team qualified four individuals for state competition Saturday, Nov. 4, at the University of Minnesota Les Bolstad Golf Course in Minneapolis.

Young hunters get birds during Dan Kindt Memorial Youth event

Ten youth hunters participated in the second annual Dan Kindt Memorial Youth Hunt Saturday on private conservation ground in western and eastern Rock County. The youth were chosen to participate in the event at the Rock County Pheasants Forever Banquet on Oct.
