Ronald Gene Bruhn, age 72, of Hardwick, Minnesota, died Oct. 26, 2023, at the Sanford Luverne Hospice Cottage after a long battle of illness. He was the oldest of five sisters and two brothers.

Sara Melissa Sammons, age 53, of New Ulm, died peacefully with her family by her side on Oct. 26, 2023, at the Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids after a hard-fought, nine-year battle with ovarian cancer.

John “Jack” Charles Mulligan, age 90, of Luverne, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, while at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Luverne.

Growing up, my parents taught me to fold my hands and close my eyes when I prayed. This posture was a good practice not to get distracted and remain focused.
