Luverne gymnasts win first meet of season against Blue Earth

The Luverne High School gymnasts traveled to Blue Earth for their first meet of the 2023-34 season on Thursday, Nov. 30.

The Cardinals won the team meet 131.500 to 126.5250.

“It’s nice to win your season opener,” head coach Phoebe Flom said.

Change is inevitable

Lights, Santa, action!

Nearly 600 people visited Santa and Mrs. Claus at the train depot in Luverne Sunday, and roughly 300 cars drove through the lighted park following the 7 p.m. fireworks.

The festivities were all part of the Luverne Area Chamber’s annual kick-off for the holiday season in the community.
