Gymnasts beat Marshall, Reisdorfer sets new school record on floor

The Luverne gymnastics team hosted Marshall Friday Jan. 27, beating the Tigers 134.9500 to 118.7250. Luverne is now 5-1 in regular meets.

The Cardinals finished second in the St. James Invitational and fourth in the Marshall Invitational.

Luverne wrestlers fall twice in home duals

The Cardinals fell twice in Luverne Thursday, Jan. 25, dropping a dual match to Tracy-Milroy-Balaton/Westbrook Walnut Grove 46-17 and losing to Fulda-Murray County Central 38-21.

The Cardinal boys’ hockey team won two games and suffered their second loss of the season this past week.

Girls’ hockey team beats Worthington, falls to Marshall and Breck

The Luverne girls’ hockey team won one game and fell in two others over the past week.

The Cardinals beat Worthington 11-0 on the road Tuesday, Jan. 23, fell to Marshall 5-2 at home Thursday, Jan. 25, and lost to Breck 2-0 on the road Saturday, Jan. 27.

LHS girls’ basketball team wins against Pipestone, falls to Redwood and Canton

The Luverne girls’ basketball team won one game and lost a pair of close games last week.

The Cardinals beat Pipestone at home 69-33 Tuesday, Jan. 23, fell to Redwood 54-48 on the road Friday, Jan. 26, and lost to Canton 44-37 on the road Saturday, Jan. 27.
