I have loved watching the winter Olympics. I really don’t have a “favorite sport” because all of them are fun to watch.

Danny Deutsch, of Kanaranzi, Minnesota, died on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

With full hearts, we remember Doniver Harold Peterson, 89, of Greeley, Colorado, who passed away peacefully at Grace Pointe Senior Care Facility on February 15, 2026. Doniver was a gentle, steady presence in the lives of all who knew him and always ready with a warm smile.

Barton Allen Jessen was born on Oct. 31, 1951, to Raymond and Evonne (Burmeister) Jessen in Luverne, Minnesota. While growing up, Barton was baptized and confirmed at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hardwick, Minnesota.

Robert “Bob” Heitman, age 73, passed away on Feb. 14, 2026. A military ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at the South Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Sioux Falls, with a celebration of life to follow. 

Douglas “Doug” Boeve, age 63 of Beaver Creek, Minnesota, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  

Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, with the family present at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hills, Minnesota.
