Patrick John Lange, age 66, of Adrian, died peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
He was born Feb. 27, 1959, in Worthington, to Donald and Annie (Tille) Lange. After graduating from Adrian High School in 1977, he began working at IBP in Dakota City, Nebraska.
Pat married Diann Boyle on Aug. 24, 1985, in Worthington. The couple lived in Adrian before moving to Garden City, Kansas, in 1998. In 1999, they moved back to Adrian. Pat worked at Carl’s Farm Store, in Adrian and Highland Manufacturing in Worthington. Pat then began working as a meat inspector for the USDA at local packing plants. The couple also owned and operated PD’s Bar in Rushmore. He retired in June of 2024.
He was a member of the Adrian United Methodist Church and A.B.A.T.E. He enjoyed billiards, and the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.
Pat is survived by his wife, Diann Lange, Adrian; mother, Annie Lange, Adrian; four children, Rebecca (Byron) Clausen, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Robin (Jim) Folkers, Lismore; Heather (Monty) Stapp, Colby, Kansas; and Travis (Beth) Lange, Luverne; ten grandchildren, Ridge Hennings, Shelbie (friend, Mac) Stoel, Madison Homan, Dylan Gutmann, Nicolette (Tanner) Johnson, Calvin Stapp, Naomi (Alex) Ring, Tavian Lange, Kianna Lange and Kierra Lange; eleven great-grandchildren, Duane, Rhett, River, Ridley, Oliver, Emmett, Farrah, Alleah, Raeyln, Silas and Whitney; and a brother, Mike Lange, Adrian.
He was preceded in death by his father; son, Dustin Lange; grandson, DJ Folkers; and a sister-in-law, Tammy Lange.
Visitation was from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Adrian; and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Adrian, officiated by Pastor John Mitchem. Burial was in the Adrian Cemetery.
