LHS girls’ hockey team falls to New Ulm, beats Windom

The Luverne girls’ hockey team lost to New Ulm 2-0 Nov. 14 and beat Windom 10-1 Nov. 16.

The Cardinals, now 1-2 for the season, will host Fairmont Tuesday, Nov. 21, and travel to Mound Westonka Saturday, Nov. 25.

Changes bring different options

Deer hunting in Minnesota is a very big deal. License sales to date for Minnesota this year total $395,000. That is a lot of guys and gals in orange spread across our great state.

Youth harvest deer in state park during special hunt

Ten youth hunters and their mentors participated in the Minnesota DNR’s special youth deer hunt Nov. 18 and 19 in the Blue Mounds State Park. 

According to park manager Chris Ingebretsen, three does were harvested over the two-day period.
