Luverne boys win two basketball games, lose one

The Luverne boys’ basketball team fell to a solid Jackson County Central team 80-69 Tuesday, Jan. 16, at home and came back to beat Windom 96-84 Friday, Jan. 19, and Estelline, South Dakota, 66-42 Saturday, Jan. 20, both games on the road.

LHS girls’ hockey team falls twice, wins one

The Luverne girls’ hockey team finished 1-2 over the past week with competition at home and on the road.

The Cardinals fell to Albert Lea 2-1 Tuesday, Jan. 16, beat New Ulm 4-2 Thursday, Jan. 18, and fell to River Lakes 6-3 Saturday, Jan. 20.

Cardinal gymnasts beat Jackson,Windom

The Luverne gymnastics team took down Jackson 130.9250 to 128.1000 Thursday, Jan. 18, and beat Windom 133.325 to 126.875 Monday, Jan. 22.

Luverne is scheduled to host Marshall Friday, Jan. 26, and Fairmont Tuesday, Jan. 30.

 

Patriot boys’ basketball team falls to Mountain Lake, beats Adrian

The H-BC boys’ basketball team hosted Mountain Lake Thursday, Jan. 18, falling 62-54 to the Wolverines.

The Patriots beat Adrian 84-61 at home, Monday, Jan. 22.

Boys hockey falls to New Prague, beats New Ulm

The Luverne boys’ hockey team experienced its first loss of the season, losing 6-5 to New Prague Tuesday, Jan. 16, in Waseca.

The Cardinals came back and beat New Ulm 6-2 on the road Friday, Jan. 19, putting their record at 14-1 for the season and 9-0 in conference play.
