    Workers with Duininck Inc. pack the road base Thursday afternoon, Aug. 27, on Broadway Street in Magnolia. The main street in Magnolia will be narrowed, receive new curb and gutter and new asphalt. The $2.049 million project is part of a series of county road improvements being completed in Hardwick, Steen, Beaver Creek and Hills. Work is expected to be completed by Oct. 1.
