July 23, 2025Wayne Willie Michelsen was born on February 23, 1933, to Willie and Alma (Matthiesen) Michelsen in Luverne, Minnesota. Wayne grew up on the family farm near Magnolia, Minnesota. He attended school in Magnolia, graduating in 1951. Throughout his time in school he enjoyed playing football and basketball with his teammates. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne, Minnesota. Visitation will be an hour prior.
