Robert William Reisdorfer, 75, Marshall, formerly of Adrian, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, in his home.
Services were Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Marshall.
Robert Reisdorfer was born to Jacob and Gladys (Nicks) Reisdorfer on May, 6, 1926, on the family farm in Leota Township. He graduated from Adrian High School in 1943. He joined the Minnesota Army National Guard in 1948 and was mobilized for the Korean Conflict.
He married Dolores Lapic on June 26, 1951, in Luverne. He sold insurance for 41 years with Farmers Insurance Group. He served with the Minnesota Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserves for 27 years. His military career culminated with the rank of master sergeant with the 88th Headquarters at Ft. Snelling.
Mr. Reisdorfer was a member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, and was a state officer for the Jaycees. He had many civic interests and served on a variety of committees with his favorite being the planning commission. His interests included going to auctions, collecting antiques, restoring furniture and politics. His favorite pastime was spending time and playing cards with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores (Dee) Reisdorfer, Marshall; seven children, Nancy Reisdorfer, Vicki (Kevin) Schwartz, all of Minneota; Neil (Linda) Reisdorfer, Centerville, Sharon (Dave) Soenen, Austin, Texas, Ryan (Deana) Reisdorfer, Lino Lakes, Diane (Tom) Consolino, Albuquerque, N.M., and Mary Sue (Dave) Aasheim, Torrance, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Jim (Angeline) Reisdorfer, Lismore, and Dale (Anita) Reisdorfer, Ft. Worth, Texas; and one sister, June Martin, Omaha, Neb.
Mr. Reisdorfer was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Eldon.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be sent to Prairie Home Hospice.
Rehkamp Funeral Home, Marshall, was in charge of arrangements.
